ETKS Partner Brian Shiffrin was quoted in a Finger Lakes Times Article regarding the reversal of a manslaughter conviction that Brian achieved on behalf of his client, Jeff Salone Jr. Brian was able to secure a unanimous reversal from the Fourth Judicial Department of New York State Supreme Court on behalf of Mr. Salone Jr. in a decision that was filed by the Court on November 20, 2020.
Brian was quoted as saying “Mr. Salone was the innocent victim of a burglary. The prosecution was based on the improper, incorrect and inadmissible evidence opinion testimony by Det. Vine,” We are glad the court recognized the error in admitting that testimony.”
