Brian Shiffrin was quoted at length in a newly released Gannett (Democrat and Chronicle/ Daily Messenger) news article regarding his appellate victory on Novembr 20, 2020 at the Appellate Division, Fourth Department of the New York State Supreme Court. Brian successfully argued on behalf of his client Jeffrey Salone who was convicted of Manslaugter before Judge Dennis of Ontario County Court and sentenced to 25 years in prison. Brian was able to secure a reversal of the conviction and a new trial for Mr. Salone.
Reporter Gary Craig of the Democrat and Chronicle cited to Brian’s argument at the appellate court that the “investigation was slipshod and myopic, with its sole focus an intent to construct a manslaughter or murder case” in the article.
